History
Embark has been providing enrollment management solutions to university admissions offices for over 10 years.
Embark was founded in 1995. Known then as Snap Technologies, Embark was one of the first web-based college application providers. Our initial success was based on product innovation that offered colleges a fully web-based solution to their admission administration needs. By the end of 2000, Embark was recognized as a leading provider of web-based admissions systems to post-secondary institutions.
In 2001, Embark was acquired by The Princeton Review and became a business unit of their growing Admissions Services division. Under The Princeton Review, the Embark business gained profitability and expanded their product offerings.
In February 2007, Embark Corporation was re-created as its own subsidiary under Go to College Holdings. It's now owned by Summerline Asset Management LLC, an investment fund with an experienced management team that has a successful track record in partnering closely with the companies they invest in. Summerline’s strength is in their ability to identify quality companies, provide stability and work with them to grow their business.
